MIDDLEBURGH — Three Middleburgh residents have been arrested on charges of making methamphetamine, state police said.

Todd Diamond, 46, Loreen Diamond, 46, and Jeffrey Camp, 55, were all arrested and charged Tuesday with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and criminal possession of precursors of methamphetamine, both felonies, and trespassing, a violation, troopers said.

The investigation began with a report of individuals trespassing on private property in the town of Middleburgh, state police said Wednesday.

During their initial investigation, troopers found evidence of meth being produced at a makeshift campsite the three had made, state police said.

When troopers found the three and attempted to speak with them, they fled on foot, state police said.

Troopers took Todd Diamond into custody after a brief chase. The other two were arrested later.

The New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team responded and determined the site to be hazardous and that the first responding Troopers interrupted the trio attempting to produce the drug, state police said.

All three were arranged and ordered held, Todd Diamond without bail and Loreen Diamond and Camp on $15,000 bail each.
