If you can’t decide what to eat for breakfast while visiting Lake George, head to The Sagamore Resort’s breakfast buffet where you’ll enjoy everything from made-to-order omelets, build-your-own yogurt parfaits, homemade Corned Beef Hash, muffins and more.
Along with the abundant breakfast options, diners can also take in views of the lake and surrounding mountains (look east for the popular Buck Mountain and its next-door-neighbor Pilot Knob Mountain) as The Sagamore Resort boasts a more than 130-year history in Bolton Landing.
Executive Chef Adam Savage said the resort wanted to appeal to as many tastes as possible when deciding on its breakfast buffet offerings. “We looked at all of the categories that make a bountiful breakfast buffet and hit all of those areas – both hot and cold,” he said. “We also offer different daily specialty items like mini egg burritos, stuffed French toast and more.”
If the breakfast buffet, which is $23 a person at La Bella Vita inside The Sagamore Resort, isn’t your thing, there is also a sit-down breakfast at the same restaurant. “We feed a lot of people, so having both options just made sense,” Savage said.
When it comes to breakfast, several things set The Sagamore Resort apart from the others, according to Savage.
“It comes down to the quality, execution and presentation of the product,” he said. “It’s also not just a great breakfast buffet, but guests get to enjoy the outstanding scenery as well.”

Breakfast with a view
The Sagamore Resort, 110 Sagamore Road in Bolton Landing, serves a breakfast buffet and sit down breakfast at La Bella Vita from 7 – 11 a.m.
White Lion Restaurant, 48 Canada St., serves breakfast from 7 – 11 a.m. at the Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center. The restaurant, which has been serving breakfast since 1911, boasts a tree deck and gazebo for outdoor dining during the summer. Specialties include the Philly Cheesesteak Omelet – shaved steak, peppers, onions, and pepper jack cheese – and the Irish Soda Bread French Toast – two thick slices of homemade Irish soda bread served with warm clover honey butter and home fries.
The View Restaurant, 2999 State Rt. 9L at Dunham’s Bay Resort, serves a Sunday brunch buffet for $16.95 for adults and $9.95 for children ages 4-12 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The buffet boasts pastries, a chef attended omelet station, French toast, bacon, sausage, three lunch entrees, salads, desserts and more.
Lake George Village
Adirondack Pancake House, 77 Canada St., serves breakfast daily from 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. They offer numerous pancake options such as Dutch Apple, bacon, chocolate chip, blueberry, sausage and strawberry as well as French toast, eggs, omelets and more.
Bank Café, 326 Canada St., is a former bank that boasts a vault in the dining room. It features a simple breakfast menu with waffles, French toast, breakfast sandwich, eggs and bagels with cream cheese.
Biscotti Brothers, 1 Canada St., has classic breakfast options such as eggs any style with toast and home fries, omelets, egg sandwiches, eggs benedict, pancakes, Belgian waffles as well as crepes with fruit filling, Nutella, scrambled eggs and more.
Bowl Boss, 217 Canada St., is a quick service option that opened in Lake George Village less than a year ago. They offer a selection of smoothies, pitaya and acai bowls as well as nitro and cold brew, and teas.
Café 185, 185 Canada St., boasts classics such as Belgian waffles, pancakes, French toast, omelets and egg sandwiches. They also offer breakfast burritos, chilaquiles, huevos rancheros and Huevos a la Mexicana – eggs scrambled with tomatoes, onions and jalapenos served with beans.

Caffé Vero, 253 Canada St., features breakfast classics like pancakes, French toast, omelets, breakfast sandwiches, eggs, and breakfast burritos. They’re also known for their made from scratch bagels, which include plain, sesame, everything, rosemary onion, garlic parmesan, cinnamon raisin, wheat and wheat everything.
Lake George Baking, 43 Amherst St., is owned by Carl and Debbie Alberino, the former owners of the Vanilla Bean Baking Co. in Troy and Latham, which was known for Fudge Fancy cookies. You’ll find their infamous cookies as well as pastries, muffins, cinnamon rolls and breads, and an assortment of cakes and desserts.
The Breakfast Spot, 42 Amherst St., is a Vintage inspired American diner that features eggs, pancakes, waffles and more as well as a selection of breakfast cocktails such as Bloody Mary’s and mimosas.
