CDTA buses to be on holiday schedule

ALBANY — Buses will be running on most routes on the Fourth of July, but not as often.

CDTA said it won’t be operating its Northway XPress service on Thursday and will switch to its Sunday/holiday schedule for its other buses.

The transit agency will, however, add extra bus service to Empire State Plaza in Albany for the state Fourth of July Celebration, and will run extra buses on Washington Avenue between South Swan and Hawk streets after the fireworks display is over.

The Capital District Transportation Authority ticket window at 85 Watervliet Ave. in Albany will be closed Thursday and reopen Friday, when all regular weekday service will resume.

Complete service details can be found at www.cdta.org or by calling CDTA’s Customer Information Center at 482-8822.
