HALFMOON - A Waterford man drove drunk and in possession of cocaine Monday night in Halfmoon, Saratoga County Sheriff's officials said.

Anthony M. Barringer, 49, of Waterford, was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, officials said. He also faces two traffic infractions.

Deputies pulled Barringer over on Route 9 in Halfmoon at about 10 p.m. Monday, officials said.

Deputies then determined Barringer had a blood alcohol content in excess of the legal limit of 0.08 and found him in possession of cocaine, officials said.

Barringer was arraigned and released to return to court later.
