SCHENECTADY - A man suffered an stab wound to his head Wednesday evening in Schenectady.

The man could be seen sitting up on a stairwell as paramedics tended to him. He was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The incident happened at the Stockade East Apartments, 13 N. College St. The man's wound appeared to be on the side of his head.

Police and city firefighter/paramedics responded to the scene. A city police K-9 officer also responded to the scene.

Officers could also be seen apparently taking another man into custody.

A city police spokesman this morning, however, had no information on that individual and said no one was in custody this morning. A check of the police arrest log also showed no charges that matched the incident.
