EPHRATAH - A motorcyclist from Utica was killed in Sunday’s crash near Granny’s Ice Cream in Ephratah, Fulton County Sheriff’s officials said Monday.

Michael Fifield, 55, of Utica, was traveling west on Route 29, when a Dodge Durango driven pulled out in front of him, causing the crash, officials said.

Fifield was thrown from his motorcycle and died of his injuries.

Officials identified the driver of the Durango as Edna Smith, age unavailable, of Fonda.

A release issued Monday did not offer further information on the investigation.
