QUEENSBURY - A Queensbury woman fabricated a sexual assault account, Warren County Sheriff's officials said.

Heidi M. Manney, 31, of Route 9, reported a sexual assault that she claimed happened on the bicycle trail off Sweet Road in Queensbury July 29, officials said.

The sheriff's office conducted a lengthy investigation and concluded she fabricated the incident, officials said.

She was charged with one count of third-degree falsely reporting an incident, a misdemeanor, and is to appear in court this week, officials said.

Officials also determined the arrest made her in violation of her parole on a Washington County forgery and grand larceny conviction and she was arrested on a parole warrant and held, officials said.

She was sentenced to 2 to 6 years in prison in the forgery case and was to remain under supervision until 2021, records show.
