COLONIE — A Lake Luzerne man was arrested after he traveled to Colonie intending to rape a girl, state police said this week.

Kevin Mulcahy, 31, was arrested and charged with second-degree attempted rape and patronizing a prostitute, state police said Tuesday.

Mulcahy was arrested after a joint investigation by the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. 

Mulcahy was taken into custody without incident, arraigned and ordered held on $25,000 bail.
