Niskayuna actress Gabriella Pizzolo was honored by New York State Senator Jim Tedisco, R-Glenville, on Wednesday for her role in the television series “Stranger Things 3.”
Pizzolo, who will be entering her junior year at Niskayuna High School this fall, has been on Broadway and voice-acted with Nickelodeon. Her role as Suzie in “Stranger Things” was her first Netflix original appearance. According to the streaming service, over 40 million people watched the show on the July 4 weekend alone.
Tedisco presented Pizzolo Wednesday with a New York State Senate proclamation honoring her and her work.
“I’m proud to represent Gabby and her wonderful family and honor her incredible talent which has taken her from performing in Schenectady to Broadway and now in a key role in the hottest television show in America. We know even bigger things are to come in Gabby’s future and we wish her continued success in all her endeavors,” Tedisco said in a statement.
