SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Four pedestrians were hurt after an SUV ran off the road and hit a hot dog cart in Saratoga Springs Monday afternoon, city police said.

All four were taken to the hospital for treatment, but none of the injuries were described as life-threatening. The driver was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The incident happened Monday afternoon near the intersection of Marion and Excelsior avenues.

The SUV ran into the shared parking lot of Saratoga Quality Hardware and Eddy's Beverage and struck the Saratoga Awesome Dogs cart there and the four pedestrians, police said.

The SUV then came to a rest after striking a parked car, police said.

Saratoga police were assisted by the Saratoga County Sheriff's Department.

Further details on the accident were not immediately available.
