ALBANY — U.S. figure skating champion Alysa Liu became the first American women’s figure skater to land the quad lutz in competition.

The accomplishment took place during the Aurora Games Saturday at Times Union Center.

Liu helped Team Americas win the figure skating competition and clinch the inaugural Aurora Games title. Team Americas leads Team World 4-1.

The games conclude Sunday with beach volleyball at Times UNion Center, while table tennis exhibition takes place at Albany Capital Center.
