SCHENECTADY - Two woman have been arrested in separate and unrelated stabbings in Schenectady, authorities said.

In the first case, Philistea P. Coffin, 24, of Steinmetz Homes, was arrested Friday and charged with one count of second-degree assault, a felony.

Coffin is accused of stabbing someone in the leg at about 7 p.m. Aug. 12 with a kitchen knife, according to police allegations filed in court. The victim required medical attention at Ellis Hospital.

In the second case, Carla Henderson, 48, of Strong Street, was arrested Saturday and charged with second-degree assault.

Henderson is accused of stabbing a man in the hand with a kitchen knife early Saturday morning at her Strong Street residence, according to police allegations filed in that case.
