QUEENSBURY -- An 84-year-old Queensbury man has been arrested for the alleged sexual abuse of another resident at the Glens Falls Center in Queensbury Monday, Warren County Sheriff's officials said.
Edward E. Snowball, of the Glens Falls Center, was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of first-degree sexual abuse, officials said.
He is accused of entering another resident's room at the center and sexually abusing her as she lay in bed, officials said. Staff were alerted to the incident when one of the employees heard shouting coming from the room, officials said.
"As the employee entered, she observed Snowball sexually abusing the female," sheriff's officials sad in a release. "The staff member immediately intervened and aided the victim as she was physically helpless."
Snowball was arraigned and released to return to court next month. A no-contact order was issued on behalf of the victim, officials said.
