Olivia Maltbie tallied in the first half, and Kelsey Barber tacked on an insurance goal in the second half to catapult Niskayuna to a 2-0 victory over New Hartford in the New York State Hall of Fame girls’ soccer tournament Friday night at Niskayuna.

Goalie Caitlin Palmateer recorded two saves to post her second shutout of the season, and Lauralie Gainer scored both goals in the second half, as Broadalbin-Perth beat Amsterdam 2-0 in a girls’ Foothills Council match.

Molly Pochobradsky scored a pair of first-half goals to lift Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake past Niskayuna in a Suburban Council field hockey match.

Wyatt Sira scored in the 70th minute for the only goal of the game in Northville’s 1-0 Western Athletic Conference boys’ soccer win over Mayfield.

Lia Gerry produced five kills and five blocks, and Lucy Villalobos chipped in with eight kills to pace Schenectady over Duanesburg 25-12, 25-8, 26-24 in a girls’ non-league volleyball match.

In boys’ Suburban Council volleyball, Jake Baker and Ben Pearce combined for nine kills to lift Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake (2-0) to a 25-9, 25-7, 25-16 win over Guilderland.
