SCHENECTADY - A city man has been charged in connection to Thursday's stabbing on Hulett Street, authorities said.

Kando George, 34, of Crane Street, faces one count each of second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies.

George is accused of using a pocket knife to stab a man four times in the right side of his back at around noon Thursday, according to police allegations filed in court. Police took George into custody shortly afterward.

Police describe the stabbing in paperwork as a domestic and the suspect and victim as brothers.

The incident happened in the area of Grant Avenue and Hulett Street. The victim was taken to Ellis Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

George was arraigned and ordered held on $10,000 bail. He remained in custody Monday.
