Fonda-Fultonville junior Shane Viscosi earned his third invitational win of the cross country season, as he won the boys’ race at Saturday’s Fonda-Fultonville Cross Country Invitational.

Viscosi finished in 16:38.22. Previously, Viscosi won races at the  Blackbird Invitational and at the Fort Plain Invitational.

Albany junior Dalia Levy won the girls’ race at the Fonda-Fultonville Cross Country Invitational with a 20:31.92 mark.

Shenendehowa put five runners in the top 17 to take the boys’ Division I team title at the 3.1-mile Queensbury Invitational, while Ben Guerin of Ballston Spa was the first runner across the line in 15:43.51. Andrew Drescher of Duanesburg won the boys’ Division II race (16:22.44), Faith DeMars of Ballston Spa won the girls’ Division I race (18:.03.27) in a close duel with Shaker’s Tori Mariano (18:04.15), and Tess Fitzmaurice of Greenville copped the girls’ Division II event (18:50.18).

Lucy Crounse had a goal and an assist in Scotia-Glenville’s 3-1 Foothills Council girls’ soccer win against Amsterdam.

Charlie Clarke had a goal and two assists in Galway’s 7-0 Western Athletic Conference boys’ soccer win against Duanesburg. Seven different players scored goals for Galway.

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake won the Victor Invitational Boys Volleyball Tournament, finishing pool play with a 5-1 record, and went on to defeat Victor in the semifinals by the scores of 25-23, 19-25 and 15-10. The Spartans then defeated Brockport in the finals by the scores of 25-22 and 25-18. Jimmy Mion and Aidan Coulhoun were named all-tournament players and Jake Baker was the tournament MVP.
