SCHENECTADY -- City police are investigating a slashing that happened early Saturday morning downtown, police said.

The victim was treated at a local hospital, police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Dearing said.

The incident happened just before 3 a.m. Saturday in the area of the Union Inn. Police responded there and could be seen both inside and outside the establishment.

Dearing said Monday police were still investigating the exact location of the slashing. No arrests have been reported.
