CLIFTON PARK - An employee at the Clifton Park Boscov's used a stolen credit card and her own employee discount to take items from the store, state police said Wednesday.

Troopers Monday arrested Serish Akhtar, 27, of Albany and charged with one count each of fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, along with third-degree identity theft, petit larceny and second-degree falsifying business records, misdemeanors.

Troopers responded to the Boscov's Saturday for a report of a store employee who had committed a t heft. Troopers soon determined Akhtar had used a stolen Boscov's credit card and purchased goods using her own employee discount, state police said.

Akhtar then processed the items as having been returned, but kept the merchandise, state police said.

Akhtar was processed and released to appear in court later.
