Liv Raucci and Alex Skoda both had a goal and an assist, and the Mohonasen girls’ soccer team topped Rotterdam rival Schalmont 3-0 in a Colonial Council game Saturday.

Megan Hart made nine saves to gain the shutout, while Kyra McCarthy had the other Mohonasen goal.

In a 3-0 non-league boys’ soccer win against Scotia-Glenville, Mechanicville goalie Zach White recorded five saves in a shutout and registered an assist.

Lens Lima scored three unanswered goals in the second half as Mekeel Christian Academy rallied from a 2-1 deficit and beat Hoosick Falls 4-2. 

Taryn Ringer scored two goals, while Anna Lee had a goal and an assist in Johnstown field hockey’s 4-1 Foothills Council win against South Glens Falls. Johnstown moved to 6-0 in league play and 7-0 overall.

Ella Kurto of Saratoga Springs ran first in the girls’ Varsity Large race, and the Blue Streaks copped the team title at the Guilderland Invitational at Tawasentha Park. Brynne Wright of Greenwich, Sean O’Brien of Guilderland and Andrew Drescher of Duanesburg were the other individual winners.

Shane Viscosi of Fonda-Fultonville won the Division 2 race at the Tartan Invitational, marking his fourth invitational win of the season.

Ryan Allison finished first, David Metacarpa was fourth, and reigning state champion Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake secured the boys’ team title at the Baldwinsville Invitational.

The Burnt Hills girls’ volleyball team captured its Cider Challenge championship with a 25-18, 25-15 victory over Niskayuna. Carlie Rzeszotarski had 58 kills and Sofia Pawlusik had 43 digs for the Spartans, who beat Lake George in the quarterfinals and Smithtown West in the semifinal round.

Traydon Lawrence ran for three touchdowns and picked off a pass as part of La Salle’s 32-22 Class A football win at Albany.

In a Class B football game, Johnstown erased a 20-0 deficit with 22 unanswered points before Hudson Falls got two late touchdowns from Arek Hall to pull out a 32-22 win.

Gavin Esposito ran for two touchdowns and passed for one in Voorheesvile’s 43-0 Class C win over Taconic Hills.
