Police: Home contractor stole thousands in Clifton Park

CLIFTON PARK -- A Brunswick man was arrested in Clifton Park after he allegedly took money for a home contracting job in town despite never starting the project.

Michael W. Keller, 43, was arrested by the New York State Police on Tuesday after he turned himself in to the State Police substation on Route 146. 

Troopers said that Keller is accused of a taking $23,000 in payment for the remodel of a residence but failed to start work on the project..

Keller was charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.

He was issued an appearance ticket for Clifton Park Town Court.
