Plainsmen clinch Class AA playoff berth
School football: Defense sparks Shenendehowa victory

CLIFTON PARK — Shenendehowa (5-1) scored three defensive touchdowns to offset one by Christian Brothers Academy as the Plainsmen locked up a Section II Class AA playoff berth with a 41-21 victory Friday night on homecoming night.

Duncan Hill returned an interception 18 yards for one score, Dyvante Terrelonge had a 19-yard pick-6 and defensive lineman Brandon Fahr returned an interception 26 yards for another score for the Plainsmen.

Billy Beach paced the Shen offense with a pair of rushing touchdowns and rushed for 118 yards. Trayvon Joyner added a 62-yard TD run.

For CBA (4-2), Dylan Jones scored on a 9-yard TD pass from Fred Smith and also returned a fumble 34 yards for another score.
