ALBANY — Coming off leading the way to an upset win at then-No. 9 Towson, University at Albany football redshirt freshman quarterback Jeff Undercuffler was recognized Monday as a co-offensive player of the week in the CAA.
Undercuffler was 23 of 30 passing for 380 yards and two touchdowns Saturday in UAlbany’s 38-21 win, which was the Great Danes’ first road victory since early in the 2017 season. On the season, Undercuffler has 20 touchdown passes and ranks No. 2 nationally in the FCS in that category.
Towson fell to No. 18 in the media poll after its loss to UAlbany, while the Great Danes are receiving votes in that poll.
UAlbany is 4-3 on the season and plays Rhode Island this Saturday.
Elon quarterback Davis Cheek shared this week’s offensive player of the week award with Undercuffler.
