SCHENECTADY - Two people have been arrested in connection with a weekend street robbery where one suspect allegedly pistol-whipped the victim, authorities said.

Treavine L. Tate, 18, and Yani I. Hundley, 19, both of Crane Street, were arrested Friday and charged with one count each of second-degree robbery.

They are accused of robbing the victim at about 3:30 Friday afternoon on State Street, near Hawk Street, according to police allegations filed in court. Police arrested them shortly afterward.

They worked together to take the victim's iPhone, gold chain necklace, cigarettes and cash, according to the allegations.

Tate is also accused of using what appeared to be a pistol to hit the victim in the head during the robbery, causing injury, according to the allegations.

Tate faces additional counts of second-degree assault, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, felonies, along with misdemeanor counts of weapons possession, menacing and controlled substance possession.

Botth Tate and Hundley remained held Wednesday at the Schenectady County Jail, Tate on $25,000 bail and Hundley on $15,000 bail.
