CLIFTON PARK - Two Clifton Park residents are facing charges, accused of doing "donuts" on two Shenendehowa school fields, damaging them, Saratoga County Sheriff's officials said Sunday.

Ryan P. Clare, 19, and Matthew T. Carl, 20, both of Clifton Park, were arrested and charged with one count each of second-degree criminal mischief, a felony.

The felony charge reflects damage from the incidents as topping $1,500, officials said.

The investigation began the evening of Oct. 18, after deputies received a report of two vehicles doing donuts in a field on the property of Shatekon Elementary School in Clifton Park just after 9 p.m., officials said.

Deputies then received word of a separate incident at Shenendehowa High School East about two days later, officials said.

The investigation then led to Clare and Carl. They were arrested and released at the direction of Clifton Park Town Justice Robert Rybak to appear in court later, officials said.
