The holiday season is fast approaching, and to help readers get into merry spirits, The Daily Gazette is announcing a “Happy Holidays” writing exercise. We’re asking people to share their favorite memories from Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, New Year’s or even a winter holiday.
The stories can be simple -- a high school holiday formal, a memorable meal, a special gift or a genuine New Year’s surprise.
The deadline for entries is Friday, Nov. 15, at 4 p.m.
We hope to print all memories submitted in our annual “Celebrate” special section, which this year will be included in the Dec. 5 Daily Gazette.
Email entries to [email protected] or mail to “Happy Holidays,” The Daily Gazette, P.O. Box 1090, Schenectady, N.Y., 12301-1090, attn. Jeff Wilkin. Please include your home addresses and telephone number -- we may want to take some photos! Call Wilkin at 518-395-3124 for more information.T
