SCHENECTADY -- Raids conducted Monday night on Schenectady Street netted more than five pounds of marijuana, a shotgun and $12,000 in cash and resulted in the arrest of two Schenectady men on felony charges, police said.
The raids happened just after 7:30 p.m. Monday night at 540 and 542 Schenectady St. Members of the Schenectady and Colonie SWAT teams conducted the raids, police said,
Ernest L. Burnett, 49, of Broadway, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felonies.
Burnett is accused of possessing about 2.86 pounds of marijuana and the shotgun at 540 Schenectady St., according to police allegations filed in court. Burnett faces the felony weapons count due to a prior conviction, police said.
The other man, Justin J. Henry, 39, of Hilderbrandt Avenue, was charged with one count of second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony.
Henry is accused of possessing just under two pounds of marijuana at 542 Schenectady St.
Burnett and Henry were being held for arraignment Tuesday afternoon.
