Five homes in Saratoga Springs were burglarized during the day Wednesday, according to a police department release.

Saratoga police were continuing to investigate the residential burglaries, all of which occurred between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday. The burglaries occurred on Eastman Lane, Waterbury Street, Newark Street, outer Grand Avenue and Lawrence Street, according to the release.

The police warned residents to be aware of suspicious behavior near their homes.

"At this point the Saratoga Springs Police Department wants the public to be aware of these incidents, be alert to any activity in their neighborhoods that may be out of the norm, and not hesitate in reporting questionable activity to us," the release said.
