CHARLTON -- Town voters on Tuesday approved propositions changing the elected terms of the town clerk and town tax collector from two years to four years.

The proposal to extend the term of the tax collector was approved by a vote of 541 to 294, and the proposition for extending the town clerk's term was approved by a vote of 539 to 292, according to final but unofficial results from the Saratoga County Board of Elections.
