SCOTIA - The Scotia Police Department is seeking the public's help in investigating an armed robbery at the 184 Sacandaga Road Citgo Gas Station.

No shots were fired and no injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred about 11 p.m. Wednesday.

The gunman is described as being 6-foot, 1-inch tall with a large build, entered the store brandishing a gun and demanded money from the gas station's sales clerk.

"The suspect then fled on foot towards the rear of the building," said Scotia Police Chief Daniel Harrigan in a release.

In addition, investigators issued still photographs from the Citgo Gas Station's surveillance cameras that show the robbery in progress.

Harrigan's release said the Glenville Police Department, Schenectady County Sheriff's K-9 unit and the New York State Police have assisted in the investigation.

Harrigan encouraged anyone with information about the armed robbery to call the crime tips line at (518)374-3110 extension 3267.
