ROTTERDAM -- Police announced via a release issued late Sunday evening that Chrisler Avenue between Cady Avenue and Chapel Street had reopened.
According to previous police reports, the road had been closed since early Sunday morning following a motor vehicle crash in which the vehicle first struck a utility pole and then caught fire.
While no one was injured in the crash, the accident closed a section of Chrisler Avenue until National Grid could repair the pole, police said.
According to Sunday night's release, two telephone poles and lines were repaired following the accident.
The crash happened before 7 a.m. on Chrisler Avenue, between Cady Avenue and Chapel Street, police said.
Police and Carman Fire District #3 responded to the scene.
The crash left lines across the road.
