RIVERDALE — Manhattan took advantage of UAlbany’s cold shooting in the second half Saturday and rallied for a 57-51 men’s college basketball non-conference win at Draddy Gymnasium.

The Great Danes (1-2) had a 31-23 halftime lead after shooting 37% percent (10-for-27) from the field. But they were just 5 of 26 (19.2%) in the final 20 minutes, including 1 of 11 (9.1%) from 3-point range.

The only bright spot in the second half for the Great Danes was they were 9 of 12 (75%) from the foul line.

Romani Hansen led UAlbany with 12 points. Adam Lulka had 10.

SYRACUSE — The Orange used an 18-8 second quarter to snap a 16-16 tie and cruise to a non-conference win over the Great Danes at the Carrier Dome.

Kiara Lewis led Syracuse (3-0) with 17 points. Emily Engstler had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Gabrielle Cooper added 10 points.

Kyara Frames led UAlbany (1-3) with 12 points.
