SCHENECTADY — The undefeated Union College football team will host Case Western Reserve next weekend in the first round of the NCAA Division III tournament.

Next Saturday’s game at Frank Bailey Field will kick off at noon.

The 32-team field for this year’s national tournament was revealed Sunday evening, a day after Union completed its 10th-ever perfect regular season with a 33-0 win against RPI in the programs’ annual Dutchman Shoes matchup. Union hadn’t put together an undefeated regular season season 2005, and the program’s current 13-game winning streak is the third-longest stretch in program history.

Union went 0-10 the season before current head coach Jeff Behrman took control of the program. After Union went 3-7 in Behrman’s first season, the Dutchmen have put together a 24-6 mark since the start of the 2017 season.

Case Western Reserve — located in Cleveland, Ohio — is 9-1 on the season and is this year’s Presidents' Athletic Conference champion.

With a win, Union will advance to play either Salisbury or SUNY Maritime.
