GUILDERLAND - Police in Guilderland are asking for the public's help in finding the man who robbed a First National Bank of Scotia there Tuesday.

The robbery happened just before 5 p.m. at the New Karner Road bank, police said. A man passed a note to the teller demanding money and saying he had a gun. No gun was displayed.

The man then obtained an undetermined amount of money and was seen leaving the bank on foot south on New Karner Road, police said.

The man wore a black coat, black winter hat, a black neck gaiter, blue jeans and brown work boots, police said.

The Albany County Sheriff's Office assisted with a K9 track of the suspect, but could not locate him.
