The CAA announced 2020 football schedules Thursday for its 11 programs, including UAlbany’s 11-game slate.
Highlighting the Great Danes’ schedule is a Sept. 19 matchup at FBS-level UMass and a Sept. 26 home game against CAA power James Madison, plus a regular-season finale vs. Stony Brook on Nov. 21. UAlbany has not played James Madison, which won a national championship three years ago, since 2015.
UAlbany will open its 2020 slate at Delaware State on Sept. 5, then play its home opener Sept. 12 against Monmouth. After the Great Danes’ games against UMass and James Madison, UAlbany will host Villanova on Oct. 3 before traveling for an Oct. 10 game at Rhode Island and an Oct. 17 game at William & Mary.
Following a bye week, UAlbany will host Delaware on Oct. 31, then travel to Maine on Nov. 7 and New Hampshire on Nov. 14 before hosting Stony Brook to wrap up its regular season.
UAlbany is 7-4 this season with one regular-season game remaining, which is a road contest Saturday at Stony Brook.
