Gloversville beat Scotia-Glenville 72-42 in Foothills Council boys' basketball action Tuesday.

Dante Bouchard and Joe Rowback combined for 44 points, and Gloversville opened its Foothills Council boys’ basketball schedule Tuesday night with a 72-42 win over visiting Scotia-Glenville.

Bouchard led Gloversville with 24 points, and Rowback had a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Antonio Cianfarani had 21 points and 11 rebounds for the Tartans.

Gloversville opened the game with a 19-2 first-quarter run.

Shawn Gillisslee scored 27 points, and Mohonasen edged Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 56-53 in a non-league game to give new Mighty Warriors’ coach Graham Macbeth his first win with the program. Alex Jameson hit eight 3s and scored 29 points for the Spartans.

Olivia Olsen came within one point of the Niskayuna single-game record, netting 41 to lift the Silver Warriors past Guilderland 78-66 in a girls’ Suburban Council basketball game. Niskayuna used a late 10-0 run to gain separation. Valencia Fontenelle-Posson sparked Guilderland with 33 points.

Queensbury opened its Foothills Council slate with an 81-19 win at Schuylerville, marking the 100th victory for Spartans’ coach Megan Bethel.

Sam DeVito scored 23 points and Emily Robbie notched 20 as Ballston Spa defeated Stillwater 68-61 in a non-league game. Marley Mueller paced Stillwater with 31 points.
