GLOVERSVILLE - A Gloversville man has been arrested in connection with a weekend stabbing, police said Thursday.

Police did not indicate in a release the extent of the victim's injury in the Saturday night incident, but they charged the suspect with second-degree assault.

Trey M. Laraway, 27, of Fremont Street, was charged that night with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies.

Laraway is accused of stabbing the victim on Fremont Street at about 10:15 p.m. Saturday, near Laraway's residence during a dispute, police said.

Laraway was arraigned in Gloversville City Court. A police release did not indicate Laraway's custody status following his court appearance.
