In Schenectady, more than 50 individuals and organizations have contributed to help create the new Goose Hill Veterans Memorial and the concurrent Senior Park in Steinmetz Park. On Veterans Day, more than 600 veterans from the neighborhood were honored at the memorial’s unveiling ceremony before a crowd of nearly 400. The Goose Hill Neighborhood Association is already planning another plaque to accommodate additional names. The new Senior Park includes a brand new bocce court, benches and anticipated swinging benches and exercise equipment to serve seniors living in the area.
