ALBANY - A Schenectady man pleaded guilty this week to child exploitation and child pornography counts, U.S. Attorney's officials said.
Robert Kirk, 36, admitted in federal court that on two occasions in July 2018 he used a sleeping child to create sexually explicit images and videos on his cellphone, prosecutors said.
Kirk also admitted to distributing child pornography and to possessing hundreds of images of child pornography, prosecutors said.
Kirk was arrested July 26, 2018 and has been in custody since, officials said.
He is to be sentenced in April and faces at least 15 years in prison and up to 30 years on the sexually exploiting a child count and up to 20 years on the distribution count, officials said.
