WILTON - A Ballston Spa man broke into a Wilton home Sunday and stole items, including presents from under a Christmas tree, state police said.

State police then tracked down the suspect, Timothy W. Duncan, 41, of Ballston Spa, and charged him with second-degree burglary, troopers said. He was arrested and arraigned Monday.

Troopers were called to the residence just before 1 p.m. Sunday for the burglary report. State police then tracked Duncan to Milton and took him into custody on Joseph Street Monday afternoon, just after 3 p.m., according to state police.

After the arrest, Troopers were then able to recover most of the items stolen in the burglary, state police said.

Duncan was arraigned and ordered held on $30,000 bail.
