GANSEVOORT - A Middle Grove woman drove drunk and struck a house late Saturday in Gansevoort, state police said.

No one was inside the house at the time of the crash and no injuries were reported, state police said.

Arrested was Bobbi B. Fitzgerald, 34, of Middle Grove. She faces one count of aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, state police said.

The incident happened just before midnight Saturday off Saratoga Road in Gansevoort, state police said.

The investigation determined Fitzgerald had been driving south on Saratoga Road when she lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway and hit the vacant residence, state police said.

When troopers interviewed Fitzgerald, she smelled of alcohol and showed signs of intoxication, state police said. Her blood alcohol content tested at 0.26 percent, more than three times the legal limit of 0.08.

Fitzgerald was released to appear in court later.

The case was one of two instances where an alleged drunk driver struck a house in the region this past weekend. A Howe's Cave woman was accused of driving with a BAC of 0.25 percent Sunday afternoon when she struck a house in the Town of Cobleskill, state police said.
