NFL 2019: Week 17 picks
The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday to take control of the NFC East.

I had some good news in Week 16. I had a better record than Gazette news columnist in our NFL picks, and my Philadelphia Eagles took control of the NFC East by beating the hated Dallas Cowboys.

But my 12-4 record wasn't enough to cut heavily into Sara's lead. Sara went 11-5. She is three games ahead of me heading into the final week of the regular season. Sara is 157-82-1, while I am 154-85-1.

I will gladly accept losing to Sara just as long as my Eagles take care of business Sunday by beating the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium and clinch the NFC East title. My son Steven and I are heading down to the game, so I hope to see many of my fellow Eagles fans there.

Sara will post her picks later on her Thinking It Through blog.
