COLONIE — Bestpass, a tech firm that provides vehicle toll management services, said Monday it surpassed $1 billion in tolls handled for its customers for the first time in 2019.
The company also added 20 employees to reach a workforce of almost 100 and nearly doubled the space it occupies at its headquarters off Route 155.
Also in 2019, Bestpass:
- Processed more than 97 million toll transactions;
- Added 1,400 new customers for a total of more than 7,400;
- Surpassed 600,000 transponders in vehicles nationwide.
Bestpass was founded in 2001 by truckers as a means for truckers and truck fleet operators to save time and money on tolls. Its toll transponders are now accepted by highway, bridge and tunnel operators across the United States and Canada, and it has added back-office support services for customers, tolling authorities and related organizations.
