MILTON - A Stillwater woman and a Saratoga County Jail inmate have been arrested in a contraband case, Saratoga County Sheriff's officials said.

The woman is accused of hiding the drug Suboxone on her body to get it into the jail and then passing it to the inmate. Corrections officers immediately located and seized the drug, officials said Thursday.

Charged were Dawn L. Horton, 46, of Stillwater and inmate William A. Peabody, 51, of Ballston Spa. They each face one count of first-degree promoting prison contraband, a felony.

A release did not give a date for the incident or arraignments, but Peabody was arraigned Tuesday on his contraband charge, according to officials.

Horton was arraigned and released on her own recognizance; Peabody was arraigned and returned to jail where he is being held on unrelated charges, officials said.
