SCHENECTADY - A city woman faces an assault charge, accused of hitting someone in the head with a bar glass, authorities said.

The victim suffered a gash the side of her head as a result and required treatment at Ellis Hospital, according to police allegations filed in court.

Kayla A. Randolph, 29, of Broadway, was arrested in the early Sunday incident and charged with second-degree assault, a felony.

Randolph is accused of hitting the woman with the bar glass on Clinton Street at 2:45 a.m. Sunday, according to the allegations.

Randolph was arraigned and released with non-monetary conditions.
