Albany Academy boys’ basketball star Andre Jackson and Saratoga Springs girls’ basketball standout Dolly Cairns, both seniors, were named Tuesday as nominees to play in this year’s McDonald's All American Games.

In all, more than 900 players from across the country were nominated to play in the April 1 games in Houston. Later this month, 24 boys and 24 girls will be selected to play in this year’s all-star games.

Jackson, an Amsterdam native, will play his college basketball next season at UConn, while Cairns will play at Rhode Island.
