HALFMOON - A Halfmoon man has been arrested, accused of violating an order of protection and causing injury, Saratoga County Sheriff's officials said.

Nicholas R. Werber, 25, faces one count of aggravated criminal contempt, a felony, and third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

The incident happened Monday evening at about 6 p.m. at a residence on Squire Lane in Halfmoon, officials said.

Werber is accused of intentionally causing physical injury to another person and violating an order of protection in the process, officials said.

He was arraigned and ordered held on $2,500 bail, court officials said. He is due back in court Friday.
