GLOVERSVILLE - A Broadalbin man drove drunk in Gloversville Friday with two children in his car, state police said.

Nicholas J. Watson, 32, was arrested and charged with two counts each of felony DWI under Leandra's Law and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.

State police stopped Watson on Route 30A shortly after 4 p.m. Friday for an out-of-date inspection sticker, state police said.

Troopers then noticed Watson exhibited signs of intoxication - and that he had two children under the age of 16 in his car, state police said.

Watson failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. His blood alcohol content tested at 0.13 percent in a test conducted at the state police barracks, state police said.

Watson was processed and released to appear in court later. The children were turned over to a guardian, state police said.
