MECHANICVILLE -- A Clifton Park woman burglarized a Mechanicville home Wednesday evening and stabbed a man in a domestic incident, police said.
The man suffered multiple stab wounds that appeared non-life-threatening, police said.
Dawn M. Grijalva, 48, of Clifton Park, was charged with one count each of first-degree burglary and second-degree assault, felonies, along with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
The incident happened Wednesday evening just before 10 p.m. at a residence on Saratoga Avenue. Police responded and found the man bleeding from several stab wounds to his upper body, police said.
Police conducted a preliminary investigation and sent out an alert for Grijalva. She was located a short time later by the Saratoga County Sheriff's Department, police said.
Grijalva is accused of illegally entering the residence and injuring the man. The child endangerment charge relates to allegations that a child was present during the attack, police said.
Grijalva was arraigned and ordered held on $10,000 bail.
The investigation is continuing and more charges could be filed, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 518-664-7383.
