SCHENECTADY - An early Sunday shooting at a Schenectady bar left two people injured, police said.

Police described the wounds suffered by those injured as non-life-threatening.

The shooting happened at about 3:30 a.m. at Vibez Bar and Lounge, 1490 State St. Officers responded to a report of shots fired there and found a 25-year-old man on the sidewalk who appeared appeared to be suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen, police said.

That man was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment, police said.

A short time later, a man walked into Ellis Hospital with a gunshot wound to his forearm. Police determined that man, 23, was also shot at Vibez Bar and Lounge. Police said he was in stable condition.

The investigation into the shooting is continuing. Members of the department's Evidence Technician Unit processed the scene.
