As thousands of people converged on Saratoga Springs for the 22nd annual Chowderfest on Saturday, the day saw Dango's Saratoga emerge the victor of a close race for best chowder.

Selling over 4,000 cups of Chicken Wing Chowder, Dango's Saratoga was the top-rated "People's Choice" chowder, according to results from Discover Saratoga.

The next highest amount of chowder cups sold, between 3,000 to 4,000, according to Discover Saratoga, was the Luck of the Irish Seafood Chowder from The Parting Glass, with the smoked Buffalo Chicken Chowder from the Courtyard of Marriott Saratoga Springs coming in third, with between 2,000 and 3,000 bowls sold.

Other ranked competitors included the Smokey Shrimp and Grilled Andouille Sausage Chowder from the Wesley Community, the Clams Casino Chowder from Solevo Kitchen+Social, the Davey Jones Seafood Chowder from the Mill on Round Lake, the  Sweet Harvest Chorizo Chowder from Bentley's Tavern and a Southwest Shrimp Corn Chowder with tequila bacon from Ribbon Cafe.

Sweet Mimi's Cafe and Bakery also made the rankings, voted best dessert chowder with their Tiramasu Dessert Chowder.
